New international taxation rules in the context of a digitalized economy were discussed at a meeting of the Bureau of the OECD Forum on Tax Administration

The Commissioner of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Daniil Egorov, took part in the discussion of the Bureau of the OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA), devoted to new international taxation rules in the context of the digitalization of the economy (the Two-Pillar Approach), approved by 136 at the OECD/G20 inclusive group meeting. The parties also discussed practical issues of the implementation of the international reform and the role of the FTA in the process of its implementation. The event was held via videoconference.

In addition, the participants considered the issues of recruitment and HR management in modern conditions in the round table format. The parties agreed that human resources are the main asset of the tax authorities.

Daniil Egorov noted that the Federal Tax Service of Russia is implementing large-scale HR projects throughout the country. They are aimed at developing human resources both at the level of junior specialists and at the management level. Special attention is paid to working with young people; in this regard, events are regularly held with the participation of the top management of the FTS of Russia. On an ongoing basis, surveys of employees throughout the country are carried out to determine points of growth in the activities of the FTS of Russia. At the same time, during the pandemic, the functions to support businesses and citizens have become a new value in the organizational culture of the FTS of Russia, which is shared by all employees.

The OECD Forum on Tax Administration is the largest and most authoritative international platform for the exchange of experience and information in the tax field. The plenary meeting of the OECD Forum on Tax Administration is scheduled for December 2021.
