Elisey Balta, Head of the International Cooperation and Capital Movement Directorate of the Russian Federal Tax Service, presented the service's digital transformation journey at the XIV Bolivian Tax Law Conference while joining the event via video conference.

The presentation covered the analytical VAT platform, the online cash register system, and the professional income tax project for self-employed individuals. The foreign tax experts raised questions regarding the online cash register system and the receipt-checking application.

The XIV Bolivian Tax Law Conference took place in La Paz with participants from Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Uruguay, Colombia, and Russia, including scholars, experts, and tax law authorities’ representatives with internationally acknowledged expertise.

This conference has been held annually since 2008 in order to strengthen tax culture and carry out academic debates on key aspects of tax law and national and foreign tax systems. It is also used to discuss changes in industry regulations, strengthen the managerial functions of administrators, and improve the national tax system based on the experience of advanced countries.
