Today is the opening of the 15th General Assembly of Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) in Nice (France). For two days the Comissioners of IOTA member-states tax administrations are going to discuss the experience on application of new technologies and wiser approach to the efforts for better performance in the circumstances of limited resources.
In the General Assembly the FTS of Russia will be represented by the FTS Comissioner Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Comissioner Alexey Overchuk and head of division of Administrative and Controlling Directorate Daria Kurgan.
During the General Assembly Mikhail Mishustin will deliver the keynote report «Enhancing E-Service Capabilities in Tax Administration».
According to the 15th General Assembly draft agenda, during four panel discussions the following tax administration issues are planned to be concidered:
- New trends in increasing tax administration efficiency requiring less resource inputs.
- Performance increasing and costs reduction by working methods optimization.
- Providing electronical public services and using innovative IT technologies.
- Benchmarking - a tool allowing to improve tax administration working indices by borrowing best experience.
The main task of the event is to give the participants an opportunity to discuss the innovations in IT and public e-services providing and present the innovation examples such as:
- cloud computing
- service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- «one stop» principle
- open-source sowtware
- ready-to-use software
- any Internet innovations helping tax administrations to reach better efficiency.
