Representatives of the tax authorities of Russia, Brazil. Ethiopia, India, Iran and South Africa met virtually on July 30, 2024, at the first meeting of BRICS Working Group on Sourcing and Use of Data.
The co-leaders of the Working Group – the Federal Tax Service of Russia and Federal Revenue of Brazil – presented vision of the Working group goals, described the project approach and the deliverables.
The research on Sourcing and Use of Data will be focused on three areas: Tax Audit, Taxpayers Services, Data Sharing. The Working Group will focus on structuring exchange of the knowledge and best practices, preparing the written guidance, establishing series of showcases within education and capacity building programs on bilateral and multilateral basis, and main steps, including circulation of the survey, presentation of the best practices, and summarizing case studies in the reports.
