In continuation of the initiative started last year by South African colleagues, the first online event of Women in Tax Network that took place on June 4, 2024.
It was dedicated to the topic ‘Women in Tax Administration: Challenges and Best Practices’.
The event brought together women of BRICS tax authorities, who addressed the most relevant issues of empowering women, exploring possibilities for women's professional growth and achieving gender balance in BRICS countries.
Representatives from Brazil, India, Iran, China, Russia, UAE, Ethiopia and South Africa shared their views and insights on current challenges encountered by women employed in tax administrations, as well as the ways to overcome them and promote women’s career development and diverse environment.
