Representatives of tax authorities from Russia, South Africa, India and Iran met virtually on May 2, 2024, for a setup meeting of BRICS Working Group on HR Practices in Tax Administration.
Project on HR Practices in Tax Administration would address Human Capital challenges and opportunities in tax administrations. It will focus on delivering best practices in HR in tax administrations as well as identifying approaches related to education and capacity building programs on bilateral and multilateral basis.
Participants of the setup meeting discussed the concept of the project, which will be centered around the concept of HR cycle, using worldwide to describe a range of integrated activities of the human resource management process. They also agreed on the composition of HR cycle building blocks and topics standing behind each building block.
It was agreed that the prioritized topics would first be delivered with some intermediate reports describing HR best practices, solutions and insights with respect to the chosen topics under each HR building block.
